Job summary

Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Operator to ensure secure and on-time deliveries across the region. You will manage routes, verify cargo integrity, and engage positively with customers and dispatch teams.

The role requires a Code 10 or Code 14 license with PDP, 2–3 years of driving experience in distribution or logistics, and strong safety, navigation, and communication skills. Independent work and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Code 10 (C1) or Code 14 (EC1) with PDP and valid driver’s license.
• 2–3 years of proven commercial driving experience in distribution/logistics.
• Knowledge of George and Western Cape road network.
• Ability to lift and load heavy items and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws and company guidelines.
• Load, secure, and unload merchandise, preventing cargo damage.
• Plan and execute daily deliveries; optimize routes for time and fuel efficiency in Western Cape.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain detailed delivery logs including proof of delivery and mileage.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and stakeholders about delivery status and delays.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
