Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join a fully remote team. You will plan, conduct, and analyze user research to inform product strategy and design decisions, uncover user needs, motivations, and behaviors, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for product, design, and engineering teams.

You will mentor junior researchers, synthesize complex data, and advocate for user-centered design in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design Research, or related field.
5+ years of professional UX research experience with a strong portfolio.
Proven expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Proficiency with research tools and platforms: UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, Maze, Lookback.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects remotely.
Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and design decisions.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute a wide range of user research studies, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, and contextual inquiries.
Define research objectives, develop research plans, and select methodologies.
Recruit participants for research studies with diverse and representative samples.
Conduct research sessions and document observations and user feedback.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify insights, patterns, and pain points.
Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for product, design, and engineering teams.
Create research reports, personas, and journey maps to communicate findings.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate insights.
Advocate for the user and promote a user-centered design culture across the organization.
Mentor junior researchers and contribute to growing the UX research practice.
