Dis-Chem Life is seeking a Senior Underwriting Administrator to provide end-to-end administrative support to the underwriting team. You will organize underwriting data, schedule medical assessments, liaise with clients and agents, and present underwriting decisions in a clear, client-focused manner.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in an administrative or Underwriting Support role
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in client engagement or financial services (advantageous)

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties to support underwriting workflows
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date underwriting data and records
  • Monitor application progress and elevate issues as required
  • Contact clients and schedule medical appointments with 3rd party providers
  • Communicate with clients and agents to gather all necessary information
  • Ensure smooth client experience through clear, professional communication
  • Create and Present underwriting decisions and quotes to clients in a RE5-compliant manner

This role ensures that insurance applications are processed efficiently, risk is evaluated correctly, and underwriting decisions are clearly presented to our clients.

This role ensures that insurance applications are processed efficiently, risk is evaluated correctly, and underwriting decisions are clearly presented to our clients.

Through organized, detail-oriented, and professional support, the Senior Underwriting Administrator enables the underwriting team to manage risk effectively while enhancing the client experience by actively engage with clients, scheduling medical assessments, and communicating underwriting outcomes with clarity and confidence, helping to turn technical decisions into understandable, actionable advice.

Success in this role is measured by accuracy, timeliness, client satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory and company standards, as well as the ability to support a smooth underwriting process from start to finish.

Role Summary

The Senior Underwriting Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end administrative support of the underwriting team. This includes preparing and maintaining underwriting data, scheduling medical assessments, liaising with clients and agents, and presenting underwriting decisions in the form of quotes.

This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams.
