Placements24 seeks a Senior Transportation Planner for our client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will develop strategic transportation plans, run traffic modeling, and conduct feasibility studies for roads, transit, and freight.

Lead stakeholder engagement and deliver robust reports to clients and government bodies. You will apply your expertise in SA policies, GIS, and transportation software to shape regional mobility while mentoring junior planners and guiding project teams.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering with a transportation specialization.
• Professional registration with SACPLAN or ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation planning and policy development.
• Proven experience in developing comprehensive transportation plans for urban and regional areas.
• Proficiency in transportation modeling software and GIS tools.
• Strong understanding of South African transportation policies, legislation, and planning frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior planners.
• Commitment to sustainable and inclusive transportation solutions.

Responsabilidades
