Job summary

Ozow is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join a dynamic tech team in Cape Town. You will combine automation and manual testing to ensure high-quality software across the SDLC, working in an agile environment and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of testing experience, proficiency with Selenium, SoapUI and JMeter, and a Diploma or degree in IT. You'll contribute to test planning, execution, and continuous quality improvement in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience in agile frameworks like Scrum.
• Exposure to load or performance testing.
• Must have a 3-year IT diploma or relevant degree.

• Documentation and testing of acceptance, regression, functional and stress testing.

• Risk-based testing and prioritisation
• Develop Software Test Specifications, test reports and validation protocols for unit, integration, and performance testing
• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, and other projects documentation to assure the quality of the products and tests to be developed
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management
• Design and create test scripts to address areas such as software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation
• As a senior member of the team, the ability to provide mentorship and guidance is a must
