Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Telecommunications Project Manager in Vereeniging to lead network infrastructure initiatives through conception to delivery. You will plan, execute, and deliver complex telecom projects, managing scope, resources, budgets, and timelines to align with strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience (3+ in telecom), strong leadership and stakeholder management, and a PMP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically focused on telecommunications projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving network infrastructure, fiber optics, or wireless technologies.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, and success criteria.
• Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external vendors.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and managing expectations.
• Oversee the procurement of necessary equipment and services, managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
