Placements24 is seeking a Senior Installation Engineer for a leading telecom provider in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will oversee installation of base stations, routers, switches, and fiber systems across mobile and fixed networks.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom infrastructure, strong RF and network knowledge, and proven leadership in project teams. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in telecom infrastructure installation and maintenance.
• Experience with mobile networks (4G/5G) and fixed-line broadband.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, RF, and optical networking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage installation of telecom equipment including base stations, routers, switches, and fiber optic systems.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation for installation activities.
• Supervise installation teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct site surveys to determine installation requirements and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and client requirements.
• Perform testing and commissioning of new installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
• Maintain project documentation and liaise with stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
