Job summary

Sygnia Limited, a South Africa-based FinTech, seeks an Investment Administration professional to support Institutional Investments. You will ensure checks, approve trades, and resolve team queries while mentoring juniors and assisting with process enhancements.

Responsibilities include fee accruals, loading fees, month-end processes, and cash management. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • 3-5 years investment administration experience.
  • Outlook, Excel and Word

Responsibilities

  • Ensure checks are completed and follow up with the team.
  • Approve trades.
  • Act as the first point of contact to correct team errors and assist with impact analysis.
  • Review complex trades, e.g. 100% closeouts.
  • Perform fee accrual checks.
  • Load fees.
  • Ensure the month end checklist is completed.
  • Load interest.
  • Load bank charges.
  • Manage change requests.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the team in terms of query resolution
  • Mentor junior staff members.
  • Provide training to the team.
  • Assist with process enhancements.
  • Actively manage large cash balances on Platinum, ensuring that excess cash is invested.
  • Ensure that correct processes are adhered to.
  • Perform system clean-up and ensure that all residual unit holdings are cleared before month-end.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure team development.
  • Assist with system enhancements and UAT testing.
  • Ensure that process documents are maintained and reviewed.
  • Ensure that client reporting is reviewed and distributed in line with SLAs.
