Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking a Principal Systems Technician to support the delivery of complex engineering projects, performing system integration, verification, testing, maintenance and advanced technical support throughout the lifecycle.

You will provide senior technical expertise to ensure electronic systems are compliant, reliable and ready for customer deployment, with emphasis on RF measurements and analogue/digital electronics across HW/SW integration.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electronic Engineering; a BTech is preferred.
• IPC certification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 9 years’ experience in product development or systems engineering.
• Essential RF measurements experience.
• Experience with analogue and digital electronics, test equipment and documentation.
• Experience in system integration, verification, testing, maintenance or defence-technology environments will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical work packages across complex engineering projects by defining activities, resources and deliverables.
• Integrate hardware and software systems through installation, configuration, verification and validation.
• Execute functional, regression and acceptance testing and support customer deployment and training.
• Maintain electronic and engineering systems through fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance and supplier engagement.
• Apply engineering quality and configuration-management standards and maintain controlled documentation.
