Job summary

The Hr Company in Durban, South Africa, is seeking a seasoned logistics planner to coordinate inbound tanker deliveries and align them with production needs. You will monitor arrivals, optimise tank utilisation, and help develop detailed production and dispatch plans.

As a key link across Planning, Production, Operations, Warehouse, and Sales, you will drive continuous improvements in efficiency and on-time delivery while maintaining accurate SAP planning data.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 35 years' experience in operations, supply chain, production or logistics planning.
• Experience in chemical, lubricant, petrochemical, or bulk-material environments; SAP/Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound tanker deliveries to align with production and capacity.
• Monitor tanker arrivals, delays and changes, minimise waiting times.
• Develop production and blending plans based on demand and capacity.
• Plan finished-product availability, packaging and filling for customer orders.
• Coordinate bulk, tanker and packaged-product dispatches with Warehouse and transport providers.
• Maintain an integrated operational plan across materials, tankers, storage, production, packaging and dispatch.
• Act as a communication link between Planning, Production, Operations, Warehouse, Sales, suppliers, transporters and management.
• Identify shortages or excess stock and incorporate lead times and POs into planning.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce tanker waiting times and improve on-time delivery.
