Placements24 is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner based in Sandton for a hybrid role. You will optimize inventory, forecast demand, and collaborate across procurement, sales, marketing, and operations.

You will lead SC initiatives, analyze supplier performance, and drive S&OP improvements while maintaining KPIs and ensuring regulatory compliance. A strong analytical mindset and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
• Hybrid work experience and strong collaboration skills.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle SCM or Kinaxis and advanced Excel.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct demand forecasting and analysis using statistical models and market data.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the retail sector, is seeking a seasoned Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role requires an individual with strong analytical skills and extensive experience in optimizing supply chain operations, focusing on inventory management and demand forecasting. Based in the vibrant hub of Sandton , you will contribute to strategic planning remotely while actively participating in on-site meetings and operational reviews. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, minimizing costs, and maximizing customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute robust inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across the supply chain.
• Conduct in-depth demand forecasting and analysis, utilizing statistical models and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, marketing, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.

• Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing accurate data and insights.
• Analyze supplier performance and work to strengthen supplier relationships.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
• Lead projects aimed at improving supply chain processes and implementing new technologies.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on supply chain performance and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Participate actively in both remote strategic planning sessions and on-site operational discussions in Sandton .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
• Proven experience in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong self-management and collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, Kinaxis) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing complex supply chains and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
