Valterra Platinum invites applications for a Senior Engineer with a focus on structural and mechanical integrity within our mining operations in Mokopane, Limpopo. The role emphasizes delivering design, assurance and specialist input across HME, underground, and concentrator systems.

You will lead complex lifting, load calculations, and engineering sign-off, while coaching teams to embed a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement in our value chain.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years post-qualification engineering experience in structural design and analysis.
• Experience in mining and mineral-processing environments (HME, underground, concentrator).
• Experience in complex lifting, safeguarding and work-at-height engineering with sign-off authority.
• Proficiency in structural mechanics, steel and reinforced-concrete design.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, QA and configuration control.

Aufgaben

• Implement and maintain mechanical and structural integrity plans and inspections.
• Provide operational technical support and engineering assurance at the operation.
• Lead or input into significant failure investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and review mechanical/structural designs, drawings and reports.
• Apply load determination, finite element analysis, fatigue and vibration analyses.
• Ensure safety factors, constructability, operability and maintainability considerations.
• Provide guidance for equipment supports, platforms and foundations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements.
