Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in structural analysis to join our Kimberley-based team. The role focuses on ensuring robust design through advanced FEA and analytical methods, in a hybrid work setup blending remote analysis with on-site collaboration.

You will model stress and fatigue, validate simulations, and work with design engineers to implement improvements on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Structural/Applied Mechanics.
• 5+ years of hands-on FEA and structural analysis experience.
• Proficiency with ANSYS, Abaqus, and NASTRAN for simulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and simulations using FEA.
• Assess strength, stiffness, and fatigue life under operational loads.
• Develop and validate analytical models for structural behavior.
• Interpret results, prepare reports, and provide design recommendations.
• Collaborate with design engineers to implement changes.
