Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design and analyze complex structures across diverse projects from your home office, collaborating with distributed teams nationwide and ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of progressive structural design experience, a PE or CEng license, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) license is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards (e.g., SANS, Eurocodes, AISC, ACI).
• Proven experience in designing a wide range of structural elements and materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber).
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities
