Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Structural Civil Engineer for its Stellenbosch team, focusing on design and analysis of structural components across commercial, industrial, and residential projects from concept to construction documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering, is registered or eligible with ECSA, and has at least seven years of experience with concrete, steel and masonry structures, using SAP2000, ETABS and Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering with a Structural specialization.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or eligible.
• Minimum 7 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Experience in concrete, steel and masonry design.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for varied building types.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications and calculation reports.
• Conduct site visits to assess structures and progress.
• Collaborate with architects and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and international codes.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries.
