Job summary

HYTORC is seeking a Senior Storeman to lead warehouse stock control and ensure efficient goods movement. This hands-on role combines senior responsibilities with core warehouse duties, providing guidance to the operations team.

You will manage stock accuracy, oversee cycle counts, and uphold safety and 5S standards while supporting peak periods and audits. A Matric and 3-5 years in a similar role with SAP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years in warehouse or stores operations.
• Experience in a senior or lead storeman role.
• ERP/SAP or similar inventory system experience essential.
• Strong stock control and warehouse best practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and book in stock against POs and delivery docs
• Accurately pick, issue, and dispatch stock for sales, rental, and workshop needs
• Ensure correct binning, labeling and safe storage of stock
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual stock takes
• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or non-conforming items
• Handle returns, repairs and warranty items per company procedures
• Maintain high housekeeping, safety and 5S in the warehouse
• Act as a senior reference point for the warehouse
• Support operations during peak periods, shutdowns, and audits
• Comply with health, safety and company policies

This is a hands-on senior role, combining advanced storeman responsibilities with broader warehouse duties, while providing guidance and support to the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and book in stock against purchase orders and delivery documentation


• Accurately pick, issue, and dispatch stock for sales and rental orders, and workshop requirements


• Ensure correct binning, labelling, and safe storage of stock in the warehouse


• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual stock takes.


• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or non-conforming items


• Handle returns, repairs, and warranty items in line with company procedures


• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and 5S within the warehouse


• Act as a senior point of reference for the warehouse.


• Support warehouse operations during peak periods, shutdowns, and audits


• Comply with all health, safety, and company policies at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)


• 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse and/or stores operations


• Proven experience in a senior or lead storeman role.
