Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa seeks a Senior Educational Content Developer with a strong STEM focus. You will design and produce curriculum materials, interactive modules, and assessments for primary to secondary levels, leveraging instructional design principles and modern tech.

You will collaborate with SMEs, designers, and artists to ensure accuracy and visual appeal, while researching trends in educational technology and supporting LMS and mobile content delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, STEM field, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational content development, instructional design, or curriculum design, preferably within the K-12 or higher education sector.
• Proven expertise in developing STEM-related educational content.
• Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment strategies.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments for STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from primary to secondary education levels.
• Create engaging digital learning content, including interactive modules, videos, simulations, and educational games, leveraging modern instructional design principles and technology.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and graphic artists to ensure content accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and visual appeal.
• Review and revise existing educational content to align with curriculum changes, learning standards, and feedback from educators and students.
• Conduct research into emerging trends in educational technology and digital learning to inform content development strategies.
• Develop content for various delivery platforms, including online learning management systems (LMS) and mobile applications.
• Contribute to the development of content evaluation tools and processes.
