Job summary

Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa seeks a Senior Educational Content Developer with a strong STEM focus. You will design and produce curriculum materials, interactive modules, and assessments for primary to secondary levels, leveraging instructional design principles and modern tech.

You will collaborate with SMEs, designers, and artists to ensure accuracy and visual appeal, while researching trends in educational technology and supporting LMS and mobile content delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, STEM field, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational content development, instructional design, or curriculum design, preferably within the K-12 or higher education sector.
• Proven expertise in developing STEM-related educational content.
• Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment strategies.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities
