Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sports Data Analyst to join a fully remote global team. You will collect, clean, and analyze large sports datasets, build advanced models, and craft dashboards to drive performance and fan engagement.

You will collaborate with coaching, marketing, and operations to translate complex analytics into actionable insights, mentor junior analysts, and stay ahead of trends in sports analytics and data visualization tools.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Sports Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, with a significant focus on sports analytics or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL for database querying.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and creating impactful reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of various sports and their associated performance metrics is essential.
