Job summary

Super Group, the NYSE-listed digital gaming company behind Betway and Jackpot City, is seeking a seasoned SOX compliance professional to join our governance team in Johannesburg.

You will lead risk scoping, design and evaluate controls aligned to COSO, perform QA on key processes, coordinate with internal and external auditors, and drive automation and continuous improvement across the SOX programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or financial controls.
• Strong understanding of SOX and COSO frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess key financial reporting risks across digital platforms.
• Lead annual SOX scoping and risk assessment exercises.
• Design and enhance controls aligned to COSO principles and assess adequacy.
• Perform proactive QA reviews of key processes and controls.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure controls evolve with business changes.
• Maintain SOX governance, cadence, and documentation.
• Prepare status updates, dashboards, and remediation plans.
• Engage with Internal and External Auditors during walkthroughs, testing, and audits.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate controls.
