Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Sous Chef for a luxury property near Malelane, Mpumalanga. You will support the Executive Chef, lead a high-end kitchen team and uphold exceptional standards of food quality and safety.

The role requires a recognised culinary qualification, extensive leadership experience in luxury settings, and a passion for fine dining. Live-in near Kruger National Park is preferred and a provident fund, meals on duty, and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Recognised culinary qualification.
• Experience as Senior Sous Chef or similar in luxury hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to lead in fast-paced environment.
• Sound understanding of HACCP and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Manage stock receiving, inventory control and supplier quality.
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
• Ensure HACCP, SOPs and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain operational records and procedures.
• Promote a positive and professional working environment.
• Uphold confidentiality of guests and operations.
