Job summary

Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS) in South Africa seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Logistics team. You will contribute to building and scaling our delivery network using a microservices and event-driven architecture.

You will own end-to-end solutions and collaborate with business on process improvements, using Java/Scala/Python/Angular/C#. The stack includes Google Cloud, Pub/Sub, Graphite, Grafana and Git.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of production code experience
• Experience with SQL databases
• Linux development experience
• Proficient in Java, Scala, Angular, Python, or C#

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize systems to manage parcel and food delivery in South Africa
• Collaborate with business to improve delivery processes
• End-to-end ownership of solutions
• Work with open source platforms
• Utilize Scala, Play Framework, JVM, Google Pub/Sub, Google Cloud, Graphite, Grafana and Git
