Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java backend to join a fully remote, distributed team. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot and microservices.

You will build robust APIs, write clean, well-tested code, mentor juniors, participate in code reviews, and optimize database performance while staying current with emerging technologies in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Expertise in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote team.
