Placements24 is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs across modern languages (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).

You will optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/Cassandra) and work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes in a collaborative, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong relational and NoSQL DB experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB/Cassandra).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud/delivery tools.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with microservices architecture is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a remote team environment.
