Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Port Elizabeth product team in a hybrid role that balances in-office collaboration with remote work. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable software, contributing to high-value customer offerings and robust architecture.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong OO skills (Java/C#/Python), and database know-how (SQL/NoSQL). You will mentor peers and help drive best practices across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one OO language (Java, C#, Python).
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Solid knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software applications using various languages and technologies.
