BETSoftware is seeking an experienced software engineering leader in Durban to drive solution design, architecture, and delivery across complex systems. You will mentor developers, ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with engineering standards.

Role emphasizes SDLC governance, DevOps alignment, and strong communication with stakeholders to deliver robust software solutions. On-site work in KwaZulu-Natal is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience within a development environment.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and software project management.
• Demonstrated leadership/mentoring skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SQL/databases.
• Experience with C#, .NET Core and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Couchbase, RabbitMQ and Kafka is advantageous.

• Detailed knowledge of the SDLC and management of software projects.

• 3-5 years SQL/ database Experience
• Preferably, Experience in document stores such as Couchbase would be advantageous
• Preferably, Experience in Message Brokers such as RabbitMQ / Kafka would be advantageous
• 3-5 years C# experience.
