Job summary

TFG (The Foschini Group) is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and implement APIs and applications across multiple frameworks. You will collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to build enterprise components and APIs, while aligning with Agile practices and CI/CD processes.

You will manage Azure DevOps tasks, clarify tickets, and assist with platform operations. The role requires strong communication, independent work, and a focus on deliverables and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years’ software engineering experience building APIs and applications.
• Proven experience developing APIs and web services (Web API, REST).
• Technical skill in multiple development frameworks.
• Good understanding of ASP.NET MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, XML and XAML.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and test‑driven development.
• Strong commitment to professional service delivery.
• Planning and organizing ability.
• Innovative, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to SOA and micro‑services design and principles.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
• Exposure to Apache Kafka and Red Hat OpenShift (or similar container technologies).
