Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Randburg is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, code and deliver robust web-based applications using Java/J2EE and .NET Core. You will build features, write unit tests, review code and document complex systems to ensure a well-described technical landscape.

The role values SaFe Agile practices and experience with OAuth 2.0/JWT security, plus familiarity with SmartVista is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in software development, including large-scale, distributed apps.
• 5 years' experience in web development and database design.
• JAVA and .Net Core, OAuth 2.0, JSON, HTTP and Oracle skills.
• Azure/Amazon experience/qualifications would be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review own work and lead code reviews of colleagues.

About the job Senior Software Developers

Job purpose:

As a Senior Software Developer, you'll be responsible for developing software solutions. You will use the latest technologies and frameworks to develop new features that enhance our existing products. You must have experience with: - Java (JDK/JRE) - .NET Core (.NET Framework) - OAuth 2.0 (OpenID Connect) / JSON Web Tokens (JWT) tools. SaFe Agile qualified would be preferred, Experience in working on SmartVista Payment Platform would be beneficial.

Requirements:

• Able to design, develop and implement web-based applications using JAVA/J2EE technology.
• Codes, tests, complex systems using agreed standards, architectures and tools, to achieve a well- engineered result
• Creates unit tests for all developed components
• Reviews own work and leads code reviews of colleagues work
• Documents complex systems using to achieve a well-described landscape
• Adhere to policies, standards and procedures applicable to software development, quality control and release management
• Actively contributes to the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, helping to drive a Quality Culture
• Experience using ADO/Sparx can also be a value add
