Job summary

Two-a-Day Group (Pty) Limited, based in Grabouw, is a major apple/pear packer with extensive on-premise systems. We seek a Senior Software Developer to own and evolve the business platforms, integrating production data, payroll, HR and QA tools with cloud services.

The role blends hands-on development with technical leadership. You will design end-to-end Django apps, build REST APIs, orchestrate data pipelines and mentor engineers while delivering reliable systems used during peak harvest.

Qualifications

• Must have built production software end-to-end using Python and Django.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.
• Comfort with Linux CLI and Bash for deployment and ops.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Django web apps from data models to templates and APIs.
• Build secure multi-user web systems with authentication and permissions.
• Develop React/React Native front-ends for operators on the floor.
• Create and optimize data pipelines and dashboards for operations and HR.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers while upholding standards.
