Placements24 in Klerksdorp is seeking a Senior Social Worker to lead a community services team and mentor staff. The role focuses on complex case management, crisis intervention, trauma counseling, and strategic program development to improve client outcomes.

You will collaborate with external agencies, ensure high-quality documentation, and advocate for vulnerable individuals and families within the North West province through an experienced, leadership-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with current professional body accreditation.
• Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in clinical social work or community services.
• Experience in crisis intervention, trauma counseling, and complex case management.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills with ability to mentor staff.
• Strong understanding of South Africa social welfare legislation and frameworks.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and inter-agency collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans.
• Provide advanced therapeutic counseling and case management for complex cases.
• Supervise and mentor junior social workers and support staff.
• Liaise with external agencies, healthcare providers, and legal professionals to advocate for clients.
