Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join a fully remote team in the crypto and blockchain space. You will own the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of secure smart contracts powering decentralized applications, collaborating with product managers and engineers across time zones.

You will optimize gas efficiency, conduct audits, and mentor junior developers while staying current with security best practices and evolving blockchain protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on smart contract development.
• Deep expertise in Solidity and experience with related development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
• Strong understanding of blockchain principles, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms.
• Proven experience in writing secure, gas-efficient, and well-tested smart contracts.
• Familiarity with common smart contract vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote team environment.
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Rust, Go, JavaScript) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, audit, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms.
