Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Manager for Pretoria-based construction projects. You will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure projects run on schedule and within specifications.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of site management experience across commercial, residential, or industrial builds, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• At least 7 years of proven site management experience on commercial, residential, or industrial builds.
• Experience in Pretoria is a strong asset.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and a diverse workforce.
• First Aid and Safety training certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all site operations for projects in Pretoria, ensuring progress and safety.
• Develop and implement detailed site management plans, including safety, quality and environmental controls.
• Coordinate and supervise site personnel, including direct employees and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations; lead toolbox talks and audits.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment usage and security.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects and clients to provide updates and resolve challenges.
• Maintain accurate site records such as daily reports and progress logs.
• Oversee waste disposal and site cleanup according to environmental standards.
