Job summary

HRCorp in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal) is seeking a Senior Technician for the Security Technology Division to install, service and troubleshoot electronic security systems at client sites, including CCTV, access control and perimeter protection solutions.

Requirements include Grade 12, 3+ years as a Senior Technician in electronic security, PSIRA registration, a valid driver’s licence and Gallagher Access Control certification.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold Grade 12 and have at least 3 years of experience as a Senior Technician in electronic security.
• PSIRA registration and a valid driver's licence are required.
• Gallagher Access Control certification is essential and CCTV knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electronic security systems at client sites.
• Perform servicing and repairs on CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals; document work and ensure safety standards.

Overview

An internal vacancy at a national integrated security services provider, within the Security Technology Division, responsible for installation, maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of security technology systems.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Senior Technician within the electronic security industry
• PSIRA registration and valid driver's licence
• Proven experience installing, maintaining and repairing electronic security systems
• Gallagher Access Control Certification essential
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of CCTV systems, access control systems, perimeter protection solutions, gate motors, alarm systems, intrusion detection systems and electrical/electronic security principles.
