Job summary

CodeConnect Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Security Technician in Cape Town to install, maintain, diagnose and repair security systems on client sites. This hands-on role demands practical electrical capability and strong customer interaction.

The ideal candidate will have multi-system experience (gate motors, CCTV, alarms, garage doors, electric fencing) and the ability to travel to sites, mentor junior techs, and support insurance-related assessments.

Qualifications

Several years hands-on experience as a Security Technician or Senior Technician.
Experience with gate motors, CCTV, alarms, garage doors and electric fencing.
Electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Excellent client-facing communication.
Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, fault-find and repair security and related systems.
Work across gate motors, CCTV, alarm systems, garage motors and electric fencing.
Diagnose technical and electrical faults and recommend solutions.
Conduct site inspections and damage assessments.
Assess technical issues relating to insurance claims and compile accurate damage reports.
Identify circumstances where reported damage may not support a valid insurance claim.
Complete relevant electrical work within competency.
Travel to client sites and manage assigned technical work independently.
Communicate professionally with clients and explain technical findings.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.
Support and mentor junior technicians as the team grows.
