Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to coach Agile teams across internal and external units in a financial services environment. You will enable teams to own their work, clear impediments, and use data to improve flow, quality, and predictability.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Architects and delivery teams, supporting backlog management, refinement and readiness while promoting transparency and accountability across delivery milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and collaborate between Agile teams and Product Owners to develop solutions that support business needs.
• Coach and support Product Owner, Business Analyst, Architects and delivery teams in backlog management, prioritisation, refinement and readiness.
• Improve planning, flow, collaboration, and visibility of delivery risks and dependencies.
• Build relationships across teams and stakeholders, promoting transparency around delivery progress, quality, capacity, risks, and dependencies.
• Exhibit Lean-Agile leadership and servant leadership principles.
• Monitor delivery metrics to identify opportunities to improve flow, predictability, quality, and delivery effectiveness.
• Help teams focus on daily and sprint goals within Program Increment Objectives.
• Teach problem-solving techniques and help teams become self-managing and solution oriented.
• Facilitate all ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinements, Retrospectives, PI Planning.
• Eliminate impediments and elevate organizational blockers when necessary.
• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Coordinate inter-team dependencies and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART activities.
• Help teams understand estimation techniques and value-based prioritisation.
