Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced SAP Finance (FI) Lead in South Africa to drive end-to-end delivery of finance transformation programmes. You will act as functional SME for FI, including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting, ensuring solutions are robust, compliant and value-driven.

You will engage CFOs and senior stakeholders, lead delivery workstreams, and mentor junior consultants while advancing SAP S/4HANA and Finance process improvements within a Reinvention Services framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP FI experience in large-scale SAP ECC or S/4HANA projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field; professional accounting qualification advantageous.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification required; experience with CO/Group Reporting beneficial.
• Strong client-facing consulting or advisory experience in a global services environment.
• Knowledge of SA IFRS, SA GAAP and SARS tax considerations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for SAP FI with GL, AP, AR, AA and Bank Accounting.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP Finance transformation engagements with accountability.
• Validate requirements, configurations and workflows with client finance stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of delivery best practices and SAP Activate governance across engagements.
• Lead design workshops, process walkthroughs and solution validation with senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to SAP Finance practice development.
