Job summary

QE Services IT Recruitment is assisting a client in Cape Town to recruit a SAP Controlling Specialist for a permanent role. You will configure and support SAP S/4HANA Controlling across CO areas, handling cost allocations and master data, budgeting and forecasting, and FP&A processes.

You will engage with Finance teams and SAP CoE to understand requirements, prepare documentation, and drive process improvements. Strong troubleshooting, governance and testing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting or IT-related field.
• 3–6 years SAP Controlling (CO) and FP&A experience.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Knowledge of budgeting, rolling forecasts and financial planning.
• Familiarity with FI integration and period-end closing.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office; Jira and Confluence experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Controlling across CO areas.
• Manage cost allocations, overhead structures and master data.
• Support budgeting, forecasts, variance analysis and planning.
• Investigate SAP CO/FP&A incidents and fixes.
• Prepare specifications, test cases and change documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance stakeholders and SAP Centre of Excellence.
• Ensure governance and change control compliance.
• Drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support UAT, transports and post-implementation stabilization.
• Use SAP tools and AI-assisted capabilities for research.
