Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sanitation Technician for its Midrand, Gauteng operations to lead cleaning and sanitation protocols across facilities. You will supervise staff, conduct inspections, manage supplies, and ensure health and safety compliance while mentoring a team to uphold strict hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in professional cleaning/sanitation, with 2+ years in supervision, knowledge of chemicals and equipment, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in professional cleaning and sanitation roles; 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in commercial or industrial settings, preferably Midrand or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals and disinfection agents and safe use.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong work ethic.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks (standing, bending, lifting, operating machinery).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce sanitation schedules and procedures across all areas in Midrand.

Requirements
