Qualifikationen

• Grade 12 and a relevant Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related discipline.
• Honours or Master’s qualification will be advantageous.
• Senior sales experience including leadership of a technical sales team.
• Experience in food industry, industrial hygiene, food chemicals or related sectors.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and/or Food Safety Management Systems.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships and convert opportunities.
• Willingness to travel extensively; valid driver’s licence.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute divisional sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, volume and profitability targets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities; expand into target markets and grow customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and protect existing business.
• Lead, coach and manage the sales team and set targets with accountability for pipeline and results.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, manage pricing and margins, oversee CRM and reporting.
• Monitor market developments and competitor activity to inform strategy.
• Provide commercial input into new product development and market introduction.
• Ensure high standard of customer service and coordinate resolution of issues.
