Job summary

First Point Group seeks an experienced Senior SaaS Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of SaaS solutions in a banking environment. You will manage multiple projects, coordinating technical and business teams to ensure on-time delivery within scope and aligned with customer requirements.

You will drive project plans, budgets, and resources, while coordinating with engineering, product, operations, customer success, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business, Project Management or a related field
• Proven experience managing technology, software or SaaS implementation projects
• Demonstrated experience managing projects across the full software implementation lifecycle
• Strong understanding of SaaS and cloud-based technology environments
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong stakeholder, customer and vendor management experience
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methodologies
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, MS Project or similar

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SaaS implementation projects from initiation through deployment, go-live and post-implementation support
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets and resource requirements
• Coordinate engineering, product, operations, customer success, vendors and business stakeholders
• Manage software configuration, system integrations, data migration, testing and deployment
• Facilitate project kick-offs, status meetings, steering committees and stakeholder engagements
• Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes
• Manage customer onboarding and implementation activities
• Coordinate UAT, go-live readiness and production deployment
• Work across Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Track project performance, KPIs, deliverables and implementation progress
• Support change management, training and user adoption
• Maintain project documentation, governance and reporting standards
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Contractor Requirement

This is a 1-year contract and requires the successful candidate to register and operate through their own company in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and paying their own taxes and must be comfortable with this arrangement.
