The position blends office-based analysis with occasional site visits, requiring collaboration with mine planning, operations, and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Rock Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of rock engineering experience in mining.
• Proficiency in FLAC3D, UDEC or equivalent numerical modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of geomechanics, seismic monitoring, and ground support systems.
• Experience with site investigations and data interpretation.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed numerical modeling of rock mass behavior and mine stability.
• Develop and implement optimized ground support designs for varying mining conditions.
• Perform site investigations, rock mass characterization, and stability assessments.
