Job summary

iX engineers (Pty) Ltd. seeks an experienced Site Agent to oversee road construction projects, administer contracts, and manage site activities on-site with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid background in SANRAL or provincial roads projects, with CPD participation and professional registration preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience on SANRAL or provincial roads projects.
• Strong contract administration and project management knowledge.
• Familiarity with local and international standards and regs.
• CPD participation and professional registration encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the construction contract per its terms.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, drawings registers and instructions.
• Prepare payment certificates, measure quantities and manage variations.
• Ensure design conformity and report discrepancies in documents.
• Oversee QA and ensure works meet specifications and safety.
• Verify setting-out accuracy and materials testing.
• Act as Employer's Site Agent and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Facilitate communication between Engineer, Employer, and Contractor.
• Conduct site meetings and maintain formal records.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership.
