Job summary

HotelJobs in Roodepoort is recruiting a dynamic Risk, Security & Facilities Manager to take overall responsibility for risk, security, OHS and facilities across the business. You will identify, evaluate and mitigate risks, and formulate effective strategies to protect people, property and assets.

The role covers management of security systems, incident investigations, contractor coordination, and compliance with OHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Matric and a relevant qualification in Risk Management, Safety Management, Facilities Management or a related field.
• PSIRA Grade A (highly beneficial)
• At least 5–7 years relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, manufacturing or similar operations.
• At least 3–5 years management / supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, security, loss prevention and Occupational Health & Safety.
• Experience managing facilities and contractors.
• Experience managing security systems, CCTV, access control and related technology.
• Strong incident investigation and report-writing skills.
• Good understanding of OHS legislation and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach in busy warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for risk, security, OHS and facilities across the business.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational, security, safety and business risks.
• Maintain risk registers and actively manage identified risks.
• Manage security officers and security service providers.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, alarms and related systems.
• Conduct regular security, risk and operational inspections.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop preventative maintenance programmes for facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate contractors and manage facility-related projects.
• Ensure compliance with OHS legislation and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare management reports.
