Job summary

Ubuntu RM in South Africa is seeking a Risk & Security Manager to oversee risk management, security, and safety compliance across warehouses and distribution centers.

The role requires leadership, contractor management, incident investigations, and ongoing improvement of loss prevention measures. A background in facilities management and CCTV/access control is essential.

Candidates should have 5–7 years in relevant environments and 3–5 years in supervisory roles, with PSIRA Grade A preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric and a relevant qualification in Risk Management, Safety Management, or Facilities.
• Management or a related field.
• PSIRA Grade A will be highly beneficial.
• 5–7 years’ relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, manufacturing or similar operational environment.
• 3–5 years’ management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, security, loss prevention and Occupational Health & Safety.
• Experience in facilities and contractor management.
• Experience managing CCTV, access control and related security systems.
• Strong incident investigation and report-writing skills.
• Good understanding of OHS legislation and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and take ownership of issues.
• Hands-on experience within a busy warehouse or operational environment.
• Professional registration or relevant industry accreditation will be advantageous.
