Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead risk initiatives from Sandton. The role is fully remote, offering strategic oversight across credit, market, operational, liquidity, and compliance risks within the financial services sector.

You will develop and implement risk management frameworks, mentor a team of analysts, and report to senior leadership and the board while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering measurable risk insights.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive risk management experience in financial services.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead risk management initiatives for their operations, based out of Sandton . This fully remote role requires developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies across the organization, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and compliance risk. You will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats to the company's financial stability and reputation. This is an executive-level position for a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex risk frameworks in the dynamic financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise-wide risk management framework and policies.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks facing the organization across various business units.
• Design and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls.
