Placements24 is assisting a major Banking & Finance leader in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, to hire a Senior Risk Manager. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks while operating in a hybrid in-office/remote model.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Finance/Economics/Mathematics, 7+ years in risk management, and desirable FRM/PRM credentials to guide a team and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in financial services.
• Experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Experience with risk modeling techniques and software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• FRM or PRM credentials are desirable.
• Must be authorized to work in South Africa.
