Placements24 is assisting a leading South African telecommunications company to recruit a skilled Telecoms Network Planner focused on Radio Access Networks (RAN). Based in Kimberley, Northern Cape, you will design and optimize RAN for LTE and 5G to ensure robust coverage and capacity.

You will analyze networks with Atoll or Planet, develop technical specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams while staying aligned with 3GPP standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
• At least 5 years of RAN planning/optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR technologies, KPIs and architecture.
• Proficiency with RAN planning tools such as Atoll or Planet.

• Strong understanding of LTE and 5G NR technologies, architecture, and KPIs.
• Knowledge of radio propagation principles and RF planning techniques.
• Familiarity with site acquisition processes and civil works coordination is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience in the **Kimberley, Northern Cape** region or similar market environments is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
