Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Senior Reservoir Geologist to lead geological modelling and support field development in an integrated subsurface team.

You will integrate cores, logs, seismic and production data to build robust reservoir models, perform petrophysical analyses, and collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists. A strong background in sedimentology and stratigraphy is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, or a related field.
• 7+ years of reservoir geology experience in oil and gas.
• Proficiency in Petrel and Roxar RMS.
• Strong sedimentology, stratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy knowledge.
• Experience with core description, log interpretation, and seismic interpretation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop geological reservoir models using core, log, seismic and production data.
• Perform petrophysical analyses to determine porosity, permeability and saturations.
• Study sedimentology and stratigraphy to define depositional environments and architecture.
• Support reserve estimates and risk assessments for fields.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists for integrated models.
• Prepare reports and present findings to project reviews.
