Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will optimize hydrocarbon recovery, develop complex reservoir simulation models, and lead strategic field development planning.

Remote collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and mentoring of juniors are key aspects. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in reservoir engineering, strong simulation software experience (ECLIPSE/CMG), and a solid foundation in petrophysics, geology, and production

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG).

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved oil recovery (IOR) techniques.

• Collaborate closely with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to integrate reservoir insights into field development plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical advancement of the reservoir engineering discipline within the organization.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in reservoir engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger ECLIPSE, CMG).
• Strong understanding of petrophysics, geology, and production engineering principles.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful reservoir management strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
