Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Research Assistant with pharmacology specialization to join a Bloemfontein-based R&D team. This hybrid role supports preclinical drug discovery, combining focused lab work with flexible remote engagement.

You design, execute, and analyze experiments on drug efficacy, safety, and mechanism of action, and contribute to protocol development in a collaborative setting. Bachelor’s or Master’s in pharmacology or related life sciences with 3–5 years lab experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant laboratory experience in pharmacology research.
• Proficiency in performing in vitro and potential in vivo pharmacological assays.
• Experience with data analysis software and maintaining detailed experimental records.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid environment.
